         Think of me!
       [To Ms. C. Rose]

When you feel the close
of care-worn hours beyond respite,
think of me!....
[for I shall offer comfort]

When you feel alone
on ever-darkling days,
think of me!....
[for I shall offer presence]

When you feel the scorn
of self-righteous, petty fools,
think of me!....
[for I shall offer truth]

When you feel the pain
of the poisoned past,
think of me!....
[for I shall offer healing]

When you feel the need
of safest surety,
think of me!....
[for I shall offer sanctuary]

I am the rock.....
which shall endure
all ‘tests of time’...
your ‘compass rose’
of certain certainty
should you so choose!....
