Soqwu Disgitisdi Gvdi One Who Weaves Dreams ~*Willow White Feather*~ In tongue of Ancient Cherokee Spirit's ink comes a voice to make us think It shares the legends of days gone by sometimes joy ... sometimes tear from eye~ Oh, to weave the perfected dream threaded thoughts without a seam From the woven past to dreams of the night another chance to get it right~ I would weave this dream for you all mankind holding hands, no matter their hue In the spinning of the loom of dreams I would weave a perfect seam~ ~*~ ~Inspire of new friendship ... or renewing of one from a time gone by~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

This poem means so much to me on oh-so-many (almost 'infinitely nested) levels..... Marge has woven the truest tapestry of Camelot from all the ever-rare, 'bright and shining' moments of "Deep-Time's" cosmic dance...wherin any visionary ever 'dreamed' of the unity of humankind! Reading this...I was 'there once more' with Martin Luther King as he spoke of his 'dream'...and also, I couldn't help but think 'bout all the unconscionable "Trails of Tears" (individual and collective)throughout all of human history! What a grand 'spirit' and fine 'loom' this lady has! |

Marge, There are too many languages to write about the perfect dream. It has to come from the perfect mind and that I have yet to achieve. LOL but I keep trying. |

Ever since I was a kid, whenever I would find a white feather, I would pick it up. I'd done this so much, that I have pretty sizable bouquet--and sometimes I decorate gifts with them, and sometimes I stick them in a note. I had no idea why I did this--I just really liked white feathers. Your poem reminded me of this, and today I can add the poetic version. It also led me to a bit of thought, and being the Joseph Campbell geek that I am, it resonated a memory for me--and yep, here it is: "In Joseph Campbell's book, "The Inner Reaches of Outer Space - Metaphor as Myth and Religion, he shows an Egyptian scene of the weighing of the heart of the deceased against a feather symbolic of Ma'at, goddess of the moral order of the universe. Ma'at is the goddess of truth and represents truth and justice of the Supreme God. The weight of the heart of the deceased is found to be just only if guilt has not made the heart heavier than Ma'at's feather. The heart must be ma'ati (in accordance with Ma'at) if the deceased is to 'become Osiris' (i.e. take on immortality) If the heart does not pass the test, the soul must be reborn. " Thanks Marge, for the poem which prompted the thought. Much appreciated and I enjoyed the toke on the peace pipe. |

I have a friend, who sends me feathers of kind and I send her feathers of sort... and we are of a kind, in sort, and she knows who she is, and I know, through her, who i am... and we know you. Kindred feathers of light. |
