I may have lost it at the party
But would have sworn I had it then
Could that really be last summer?
I don’t suppose it matters when.

I remember when I wore it
Walking through the park at night
Yours was always somehow better
Mine could never be so bright.

When you giggled it was there
When you kissed me, for a while,
Then you left…now I remember
Exactly when I lost my smile.
