The silver string along the path
begins and ends in time
through mortal mists amorphous
to guide me on my climb.

I hang on, too, with all I've got,
await the break of dawn,
thank the stars that shine for me,
and wings that lead me on.

Those who have gone before me -
I wonder if they wait
or shake their heads chiding
procrastination at my fate.

My vision, blindest of the blind,
leaves me to my heart,
and hands which knot a silver cord,
to show me where to start.

I hope and work toward leap of faith
till vision clear is showing
that I am more than mortal waif
and God knows where I'm going.

(for Sy )

Both you and our Sir Sigh, are both 'Klass' acts! I not only appreciate you both as poets, but as people, as well!
