Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

Curled waves crash and roll along the shore
Flowing in from far off lands
They carry secrets of long-lost treasure lore
As they kiss the sodden sands

Where they come from not many know
Presents left in water’s weeds
Rising from the depth or caught in undertow
Are bottles emptied of rum and mead

Mysteries lie hidden within the ocean gloom
Ships now broken and lying dead
They are a hollow coffin where men are strewn
Among slivers of a once proud maidenhead

Pirates once pillaged these waters far and wide
Daring to seek a wealth of gold
Now they are buried under sand and ocean tide
Becoming legends of days of old

When the wind rages and storms tauntingly wail
You can hear a plaintive refrain
It’s the voices of dead Pirates who tell the tale
As they sail towering waves again.
