Listening to every heart

A Lost Poem

It has taken the grist of a full day
to expose this night, after great probing,
only to discern the moment’s gel
hasn’t yet fully congealed, as thoughts
are like minute white whales ~
whipping snippets of poems and their beginnings
trailing through salt water kisses,
any likening of self to some great artist
falls false among another’s own shadows,
myriad showings slicing reality and I tremble,
for the moon shall rise almost a full body of itself, still,
and enough, strong and willed, bluish white trails
to follow as it lights the ground and leaves…

me

unfulfilled.  Oh! Yet, those scenic dreams of yestermorn…
amid awakenings and substance fleeting
even as Ingmar’s dreams of fear and consciousness
arise, finding some pride in manhood,
some sense of time, some control, as
transitory as an ashen whale…Ingmar’s accent
colors my hearing, even as a spine
straightens under parental control;
ethnicity leaks stronger into this vessel.

Somewhere in life’s blue blood, before
particles of air hit corpuscles and redden, some
long ago Viking mixed minutia over some winsome
Germanic maid, under a sequined sky
or perhaps…under Thor’s hammer’d sparks,
creating the dreamers of another world,
certainly one in Ingmar;

and if I listen closely, I harvest skeins of light,
that there is still poverty in what I know; but!
the desire                  to attain more in the way
of edification, through the soul of hunger…ah…

Feed me, and I shall fill the moon with dreams.

Sissie....It is wonderful to be inspired and to write something so wonderful from it that the inspirer would be proud to hear it.  This is such a poem.

OUTSTANDING!

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

The way it is written is so important here, and the subject matter is important too, but it is woven with skill and care and comes to life with seasoned knowledge..thank you..K...

Feed me, and I shall fill the moon with dreams.

And so you do....not "shall", do. This extraordinary poem is a case in point!

No spring, nor summer beauty
hath such grace...
As I have seen in one autumnal face.

Karilea, There's something hauntingly beautiful in this write and although I highlight the following, I know there is more.

"there is still poverty in what I know; but!
the desire                  to attain more in the way
of edification, through the soul of hunger"

And so shall it be given to those who seek.

You were wonderfully inspired, dear Karilea. There are true heights in this poem, yes I am sure Ingmar is honored by your work ... because of course he now perceives everything interdimensionally ...

... nothing is ever lost!

Love and hugs.
