I watched the sunlight turn the curtain
To a canvas clean and white
Bleeding nightmares into pastel
Shades of one more empty night

Goodbye letter words all fading
I swear I’ve read them off the page
Inserting love lost hearts and kisses
Between the lines of bitter rage

These four walls are strangers to me
Without your shadow on my bed
All I have are words and sunlight
Lying here with me instead

There are not words that could better express the understanding of this.
Well written.

You poor Grinch, this is too much sad. Hope you were in the wrong shoes again.
