Bold in defiance... Puffed with pride... In clothing sewn by another's hand... Nourished with food harvested by strangers... He spoke of Strength... with a vocabulary gathered from parents and teachers... And declared himself to be... "his own man" "Dependant upon no one" Then he angrily drove away... Down a road he did not lay. |
