ARMING THE INSURGENTS? |

Last month I bought a shotgun At a large, well known store I had to tell them about my life Every detail, and even more. It took more than two hours For me to buy that legal gun And it's not for some crime Just protection and some fun. But we spent many millions To armsome people of Iraq For nearly half a million guns But, seems the Pentagon lost track. They don't know where most went They disappeared without a trace But, bet some are killing our own Troops As they serve in that foreign place. There is really something wrong When it's hard to buy one here But arm people who want us dead As they have said, loud and clear. Those who run the Pentagon Should be fired on the spot But we all know they won't be And will they fix it?Probably not! But, the gun makers love it They'll probably make another sale To replace all of those lost And with that, I'll end this sad tale. 10.31.06 Del "Abe" Jones |
