Light the Nite

Hold burning candle above thy head,
to lume thy midnite path,
Down demon alleys on Halloween,
~ slick from bloody bath.

Beware the stench of fetid flesh,
that assails both nose and soul.
And listen not to clang of bell,
that claims souls with each toll.

Don’t hesitate! ~ Keep marching on,
~ past those risen from the dead.
Say silent prayers from sealed lips,
lest Evil hears what’s said.

Angels gather at God’s Command,
and surround thee with Rays of Blue,
~ Reflecting off incarnate forces,
to see thee safely through.

Know ye be safe from any harm,
when ye invite the Light.
Dark's struck down by Mighty God,
Who wields gold Sword of Right.
