                 LEAF OF RED

Walking thru this place
Many colors of fall, all about
Admiring all, as I look
Upon this awe inspiring display
Of Mother Nature brush

I look down, there before me
Lay this lovely leaf of red
Displaying itself, so amazingly
I knelt before it ,as though
It was a spirit commanding

As I knelt, it moved so gently
As to say, my friend, I am as I am
A being , that enjoyed its days
Now the reward of being here
With you , is upon me, allowing
Me to be as I am to you, for if
You see me, as this you see,
Than, it is well, for it is
For you, to remember me as I am
For this, is the treasure
That lies within us all

For we all seek, this special place
A place that allows us, to be as we
Are, displayed to one self
Others to know the enjoyment of
The gift, we have to share with them

The end is but a beginning
The moments are in such a way
They are never lost, just transposed
To another moment, once more
To be enjoyed, in another special
Way

I watched this amazing gift
As it gently whisked away
To another resting place
To share, the beauty of its soul
With another, that would take
A moment in time to enjoy

My mind, seemed to wonder
Resounding on what I was told
As I strolled, once more through
This place, displaying Mother
Nature's soul

Then, as a lighting bolt to an oak
I fell, to my knees once more
For now,I know what was said
For I am, in this moment, as he
Sharing what I am, to those that
Are near to me and for any that
May enjoy a moment as well

For all moments, come when one
Has a chance to share it's soul
For those that choose this way
No regrets is there, I can assure
For those, who choose not
A loss so emmense, that mother nature
Wheaps the dried leaves of brown
So hard upon the ground, they
Can only whither away, without
Even a whisper, of the existence
They had

The colors of the season, is
Truly a magnificient scene
The colors of the seasons
Of man, is as he makes it
In the end, he reaps what he
Seeked so hard , in the moments
He was allowed

Seek not what you seek, but
Seek what you are always
There you will always find
A far more rewarding gift
As the leaf of red to me

THE LEAF OF RED, MAY IT ALWAYS
BE WITH YOU
