From mystical hands love’s heavy load drops bit by bit down to the ground, a solid base for heavy hearts to stand on and be uplifted. Somehow I walk to the side of ground always under my feet and avoid like a plague the sand because there’s dust, the dust of love, that threatens my surface composure. And somehow I can’t see the worth of putting my best foot forward that first demands a commitment but somehow I do survive with no base to springboard from. Love underfoot and somehow I feel old shoes of complete independence will keep me forever removed ~ but tomorrow perhaps I’ll divest and walk barefoot in the truth. Tomorrow, tomorrow; let nobody say, “Sand never can blow away!” Helen / 27 October 2006 |

quote: Love is All there is ... may no prejudices stop you from "walking barefoot in the truth"! Thank you for this great poetic performance, dear Helen. Love, Margherita |

Your poetry has become rich in it's wisdom, and far seeing honesty. Wonderful lines here. TD |

somehow, you know when it's worth the burning sand to endure the comfort of the ocean breeze |

Helen...I guess in the end that it's not where you walk but how you think you walk that moves you forward. I always enjoy your thoughts. ![]() |
