Song Of The Fairy Princess In the still and dark of night she spreads her silvery wings Then drifts across the starlit skies as wistfully she sings A melancholy song of love that fills the nighttime air The nightingale then adds its voice to her sweet sadness there Little fairy princess sing your song of long lost love What sad fate has befallen the dear one you’re thinking of? Your fairy prince has gone away and never will return But in your heart your love for him eternally will burn Then as your haunting melody drifts out across the glens The woodland creatures weep for you as your sad song begins They long to ease the aching pain that stirs within your heart To see your love return again so you may never part I listen every evening as each golden note you sing Each time my eyes get misty from the teardrops that they bring Tiny fairy princess, my heart also breaks in two Oh how I wish there was a way to bring your love to you You see, my love has left me too, so I will share your pain My heart will ache along with yours on every sad refrain So it will be each evening, for my bygone love I’ll long While listening, oh so sadly, to the fairy princess’ song |

Oh, my heart be still. You write pure magic! This sad fairy princess song slipped through the pip cracks. Well, now it should get the readings that it deserves! May you both find the love that should rightfully be yours! ~ Perhaps it is each other! Love & Fairy Light, Linda |
