Desert Nights Gentled, daylight fades. Twilight summons night-borne sounds. Sand denizens wake. I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires. -Khalil Gibran |

Quite the atmosphere that you created with this little gem of a poem. I noticed that your signature is a quote of Khalil Gibran. I too, am a fan of his writings. In fact, a friend once lent me a copy of "The Prophet" and I was so taken with his talent and wisdom, that I wrote out the entire book in longhand (my computer had crashed at that time). ![]() EA |

Hi, EA. Thanks for the kind thoughts. And yes, I am a fan of Khalil Gibran's writings, too. I have read various works of his, and he seems to have been a wise, quiet, thoughtful, spiritual man--one of the gentler souls on this earth. Hi again, TL! Yes, Gibran is magical reading. And imagine reading him in a wind-swept stretch of empty desert...empty, that is, to those who cannot see... John xo I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires. -Khalil Gibran |
