It's friday night and the football game is through Some of the high school kids have had a few Now they're in their cars racing down the Boulevard The tires squeal as they take off A little drunk looking for speed. Please young ones just go home For haven't you read of the eight this week That never made it that far They died in their cars going only knows where But with seatbelts forgotten and speed on their mind For only place they made it too Was the morgue this time. **Note** Not one of my best but I'm am sitting at home tonight listening to the cars racing down the main drag in town and thinking of the 8 teenagers whom have lost thier lives in car crashes this week in my home area. Know yourself before you try to know someone else. |

This has a great message and everything ties together. Sad...if only people would think. |

Cory, "the best" is a personal observation. I observe this to be the "best". Never ever can form bear more meaning than emotion. This IS the best. Sandra |

How terribly tragic! I can understand how you were moved to write this poem ~ and your compassion shows! It is frightening how suddenly lives can be lost. Sadly, so many teenagers believe they are invincible and they live their lives accordingly ~ until they are lost... Loving Light, EA |

Thank you for the kind words. This last week has kind of hit home to me because I lost 4 friends in high school to car crashes. I have always thought it was sad that teenagers sometimes never make it to adulthood. Know yourself before you try to know someone else. |
