A Star is Born Gleaming on the horizon like a blazing star She laid so graciously displayed The life she gave, was time has no end For each light within her said Never let one go out For she would light two to take it's place An amazing place to live and play To worship, to rest in her arms at night So sad it is now, in her injured state To see such a city , with such a legacy To see her so tatered and torn, To see her wheeping sorely For the ones that were lost Some say she should not be reborn For she would only be once more In the same way she is in now For she sits far below the water That awaits to destroy her once again I say, wait and view her state For one who has ever seen a sunrise On her horizon, knows well, the beauty Of the lady that is still here For the warm Gulf Winds wake her With their arms so strong The mighty Mississippi flows Within her bossom giving life to so Many along the way The swamps that surround her, no other Place on earth can so much life abound The people that are her heart, would never Desert such a lady in her hour of need Althought she is in such a tattered state Through her tear filled eyes One sees a glimmer of the gleam within From this glimmer within her soul displayed She will once again rebuild with her heart And soul, no layd is known better and held In higher esteem , than the Lady Of New Orleans For out of the destruction and horror She will stand once more to share her light To the world, far brighter than ever before For her heart are her people and this my friend Is a heart that will never be destroyed For when you look upon the horizon at night Look well, for in the distance not far from you is a star, A Star called the City Of New Orleans |

Please, don't be humbled. There are so many others out there who have been in your footsteps and several of them have found a home here. You are most welcome. We are all here to help you as you need, within the walls PiP. |

It is people like you who are brave of heart, that will make New Orleans rise like a phoenix and up past the stars! An inspiring poem of hope, courage, strength, and resurrection! Giving you a warm, welcoming hug, Earth Angel |
