in the shadows

0 posted 2006-10-17 10:45 PM

Sheltered from chill ridden tendrils
in the early swirling mists of the morn,
through high hazy windows
the moonlight is waning
craving the sleep of the dawn;
here within the mansion of memories
in the dust of the old ballroom floor
barefoot and in gossamer gown
your shadow takes life from my dreams;
spinning light
in rippling steps
swaying gently
to ghosts of music long gone,
notes like fire in my soul,
I know not to reach out to touch you
for like the music
you are decades gone from my world.

"barefoot and in gossamer gown"

you brought her spirit back,
if only for one dusty memory moment

Yes, we know not to reach out but we have already with the memory.  You write to touch the spirit, dear icebox.

Adding this one to the collection, of course.  Mr. C., the imagery was very clear even through the dream haze....*hugs*....jo

Why does this remind me of a musicbox?

very beautiful C...

hmmm...enchanting and now somehow distracting

but you do weave some powerful spells
