the activist

daring and strangely intimate
wandering up & down these halls of
where the heart only intensifies as
itself, constancy, full flowering evolution
intensifying the power of each message
the eyes are open, viewing the small
reconstruction of the present
there is no beginning, until there is no end
can you feel the inevitability?

sitting down polishing dimness
until it hums it’s marbled ocean
grown from dried up questions
turning to consuming fingers
of authenticity where we become one
all things channeled
i am, moves that reverse in the mind
of opposites within an illusion
where perception comes in different silhouettes
and pain becomes the coachman
of where i want to be

unconstrained
is the swan of transient nature
where time is no longer relentless
beyond sky, a cosmic traveler
outside touch, taste &  smell
ever present
oh this aching beauty
what can't be taught
doer of any thought

meditative communiqué inside
engraves a drunken motion
enthusiasm, determination, sustains
imparted on a pristine medium of cohorts
lives this unpredictable phase

identifying progress in our global village
fording this sea by drowning
discerns essence contained in breath
the whispers of dna from the turbulence
unpredictable
a sense of awe in
sweet oils of which lives richly in seed
candle of reality, beyond death
behaves like a child
to fall down and still kiss innocence
finding missing pieces

understand the strength needed
feeding articulation recognizes
life as great spiritual essence
where flow becomes vulnerable
who invented this literary genre
mystic sages of enlightenment

nothing slips through
this multi leveled process
multisensory, sees flower in the seed
sullied purity, corners in a square
adding something never discrediting
risking new truths, new horizons
enhances the connection with nature’s stream
my only fear is straying from this road
yet never fail to take new turns
falling short and starting over again and again

I’ll hit my head against that wall, many times
But it is only thru disconnecting emotionally
That emotionally one becomes connected…

Thank you Linda
With all my heart!

Each verse of this stands solid as its own poem, but I chose this as my favorite, and through our conversations I think you understand the why of my favoritism:

"sitting down polishing dimness
until it hums it’s marbled ocean
grown from dried up questions
turning to consuming fingers
of authenticity where we become one
all things channeled
i am, moves that reverse in the mind
of opposites within an illusion
where perception comes in different silhouettes
and pain becomes the coachman
of where i want to be"

A stellar verse, that. And one I wish I didn't understand, and one I wish you hadn't felt compelled to write.

Huge Hugs Lee.
