October Poems Somewhere there are poems, archived, sure, true, and lost among the leaves and bare trees scattered with winds that blow from angles and here am I, searching for bones. October has become a new month a birth occurred, a love everlasting; yet, it brings to me November, soon enough, sharing birth/death and commemorations loving but don’t dig a new hole yet… just grasp a new hold, if you will. The sun will wane soon; winter will gift solstice summaries and cinquains will tempt snow; soon enough, redbirds will reign against white and become ever vibrant against gray boards singed with ice. October poems….gifts on the wind which gust among the compass and flit which way and that… then circle, circle, and fall; upon my porch, they lay. I could take a broom, and scoop them up; or I could crunch them beneath my foot, stepping out into some daily grind; but I stop. And stoop. And choose a new word, to begin, again, a tomorrow’s poem, for October, or beyond. ~*~ Inspired by Martie " It matters not this distance now " Excerpt, Yesterday's Love ~*~ KRJ [This message has been edited by Sunshine (10-13-2006 07:21 AM).] |

"scattered with winds that blow from angles and here am I, searching for bones." Quite brilliant. Quietly brilliant. Brilliantly quiet? All of those things. I love the gentle beauty in your words. ~with these, xxx, and some of those, ooo Cheye |

Hi, Sunshine. That is a vivid and magical write. I can see the poor little poems all wind-blown into a corner of your porch, waiting to be rescued. Quick! Grab them before they blow away completely! We need the beauty to bolster us as winter is a comin'... John xo Pinky: Gee, Brain, what are we going to do tonight? |

So that's where you find all that great poetry you write... in the corner of your porch! A beautiful write, as always, Sunny One. |

I'm gonna build me a porche too, because mine always seem lost forever. You always amaze me in your writings my friend, as you amaze me reading that beautiful book you wrote. I'm half way, taking my time to let it all seep in. WOW what a story! Just beautiful. Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |
