(So sorry but I can't seem to think of a proper title. I would appreciate any suggestions...) She looks forward with broken eyes Said she’d one day touch the skies Tears of mirth replaced by tears of regret Everything that made her happy now only makes her upset Innocents taken; she wasn’t really that young Realities shaken; to her fantasy world she clung Looking from the doors of limitless choices She got strangled by all the different voices Held out her hand to find her sanity Didn’t really understand the limits of humanity What’s done is done isn’t that the truth We really aren’t that young in our youth Unlucky breaks, unlucky stars Fell somewhere between Pluto and Mars Imagination boundless and free Now she wishes that she couldn’t see Paint brushes and canvases are now askew Her painting’s once bright are now dull and blue Believed the world was all rainbows and pots of gold Didn’t know all the devil ever want's in return is a soul Closing the door to her life before The girl she once was is now no more She said she one day touch the skies... |

I relate to this poem on a personal level. Thank you for posting it. As for the title, I am not sure, but believe it should come from the author. "Melvin, the best thing you got going for you is your willingness to humiliate yourself." |

Thank you both for commenting! (I'm happy you liked Lady!) I'm still trying to figure out a title (It has yet to come to me) But I'll be working on it! Hugs and Hershey bars to all! ~Kira |
