Oh ye Love of Mine Squelch! For hark I feel the butterflies Lost thus be the flashing dreams of future estuaries, Carried separate by their feign in flight. Do haste! For the formless shaping calls the deepest “insecure.” And ho! Forward sails, forward body, aft-ward looking As my heart is lost in the noontide. Lest ye be mine my mistress, as no man can, Yet no man will, but I shall see thee brightly. And so as the universe slowly wanders, unperceived, I such do think of you, not eyes, not face Only lost in conversations, rambled un-coursed intensity Made of longing, shaped by starless skies And put into consciousness by the glimmer. Whence my language came? It came of deep affection For whence days do pass, they pass un-entered, unfulfilled. To live for love and have none. Too lying trapped in keeps, which hold my writhing-will-to-love, A sacred silence of the sea, The wind that blows down leafless trees of satisfaction. And I am of the leaf so blown from all the branches Swept away crying for my love, my warmth, my life Detached, broken into pieces, left to wither then to die Oh privy love o’ mine lest I be sanguine, Take my ship to Avalon and love my weakened heart As nature tends to nature, love will tend to love My hand is open, Accepting of the sunlight-rays as the hours cry out angle hymns While my ears do say: tell her you’ll love her forever and a day. More than could be measured, as if infinity were a second And my love is as the soul of such measurements, undying. I am the two-toed wanderer [This message has been edited by themute (10-10-2006 10:23 PM).] |
