Spuds McItchy
~*Marge Tindal*~ and ~Bill Haight~

There's a special puppy
that has come to live with us
He's rather quiet and reserved
he doesn't even make much of a fuss~

Carved with special care
from a fallen Camphor burl
Bill made sure he'd fit
within our little world~

However this little pooch
soon suffered with fleas
Spuds McItchy would be his name
as you can plainly see~

He scratches night and day
Yet seems still to be
such a special pup to us
We even help him scratch his fleas !

His colors are just sooooo unreal
we know it's hard to believe
Little Spuds McItchy
really does have fleas !

~The hurricanes of the past left lots of wood to carve~
Now isn't this a pup ... you really would adore ?
Fleas or not ?

What a wonderful creation and as you say, the colors in the wood are incredible! I wouldn't mind having a puppy like that in my house!

Cute as can be.  I like Bill's sense of humor in his creation as well as yours highlighting it.

Termites!  Hahaha!

Hi, Marge, and well, Bill!

I haven't "talked" to Bill yet, but based on his whimsical work, and the fact that he's "yours" (according to people in this thread!), he must be one special guy!

Anyhow, I was attracted by the title as it reminded me of that TV icon, "Spuds McKenzie," but I could tell that fun was in store by you title.  I was right!

Great work, guys (and gals).

He is as big as my tiny Toy Pomeranian, Dallas~

LOL @ you, Steven ... termites indeed !

Saw pics of him before and wondered how long it would take you to do a little dittie about him. LOL.
Too cute!

The perfect puppy for a lot of people! My apartment complex doesn't allow real dogs, so a carved one like Spuds would fit right in! I'm sure you adore him, Marge (and Bill too!).
