Final vows offset much of the craters that I can no longer fight or deny libido sublime compared to straw that erupts in life walking stations of extreme testing…. wanting to run the distance stone on the ground keep my feet from feeling violent rejection darting through the darkness the owl is a cruel one I sometime fear peculiar agony perhaps a penance stunning in severity incisive….powerful as guilt crashes down pincushion of bi-polar hangs in the air (could it be?) along with the after shock of not knowing the disorientation that’s been pinned to my flesh forcing me to my knees stinging, I resemble a dog with it’s tail between it’s legs what dignity is in that? fear spreads across my underwater sheen standing there stretching beyond what unthinkable discrepancy have I done? A dark pelican flaps her wings taking to the air heat rises on the skin of my cheeks like an ocean’s sweat dieing on the beach trying to clean the heavily stained apron darkened sunglasses licks my heart daring & strangely intimate she only imagines a face that is intensified by her posture impertinent conversation is her defense resting loosely on a marsh island which presses against me, breathing “be careful” “beware” I stand before a choir terrified close to desperation failing failing again and again… twisting my lips happiness, is a day blinded window light back flips brushing my knuckles scaping my knees assuming it was the worst my thoughtless moments slumping onto the white breast of what remains I dream of amputated legs gazing straight ahead aware of the scum of hesitancy formed knowing i dare not mention the day it was created mysterious these 10 years sometime, the human psyche can be a cruel one do I bring these things upon myself separated and snipped off the end of the butterfly only wanting time apart solitude of being recognizes love recognizes envy I listen to ridiculous things tormenting lapping my boat screaming release me… I don’t want to paddle anymore I don’t want to tread water anymore think what you will… I’ve eaten enough rejection to last a lifetime denial always bites that place in a woman’s heart that can be touched [This message has been edited by LeeJ (09-05-2006 10:29 AM).] |

If I could reach you, I would tell you storms only rage for a short time. Winds howl loudest when your mind is already in a scream-state, and tomorrow could be the very calm you've not dared imagined. But I think a woman of your depth already knows this. Very powerful write, very powerful emotions. Sandra |

LeeJ You took me with your dreamworld...a place familiar to me but left behind thankfully...and if you couldn't write it down, would you explode? Thank you poetry!! ![]() |

A very imaginative and powerful poem, LeeJ. Your word-choices and phrasing are exemplary and really convey inner turmoil with perception and intensity. Regards, Bill |

::smiles:: The surface winds converge with the atmosphere and the energy build up creates storms. Ah Much like the way thoughts build up and cause periods where the spheres of split-mind become unstable and shake the surface below. i.e. You think too much. LOL (((LeeJ))) A wonderful write !!! as always. Even though... I have never witnessed an "unnecessary" storm. ::smiles:: |

LeeJ - Life is made up of "ridiculous things" and one day we'll learn to laugh at them. I've trained myself away from storms but I can remember them and the effect they have on one but you, my dear, put it all so expertly into words. Only a master can do what you do - you know, you know! |

excellent poem. been there a time or two that's for certain. it's poems like this that can boggle the mind with hidden poems within them. As I read the poem, I noticed something peculiar. Read the first out of every four typed lines. I don't know what was more powerful, the poem itself or the poem with in the poem... excellent either way. |

want to thank each and everyone of you for your kind comments...and always your support. if it helps, I write as my mind works, sometimes it's moving at warp speed, and I'm trying to look at the ying and yang of things...trying to maintain the stability of positive thinking, reassure that all forces are ever present...can't help it? Many people find it difficult to follow, let alone understand. Many thanks Pipsters your all such a great group of poets/writers and friends. |
