Nowhere to go on this Father's Day, so instead I am sweating it out. Straightening the yard and a lifetime's mistakes, to better my outlook of doubt. Learning to celebrate my comings alone, giving myself presence of. Setting the scene for comforting thoughts and prospects of sharing a love. Letting the breeze and the warmth of the sun heat up and strengthen my dance. Untwisting the past that has shadowed my walk, formidable, I'm taking a stance. Today's my tomorrow, my beginning of flight, my storm as I persevere. Sweating is fine for this lady this time for I'm not backing down out of fear. This side of the glass that looks back at me promises, there's more to be had. Nowhere to go on this special day, but you're there watching over me, Dad. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

My Mother died when I was two and your poem reminds me of the comfort that we do have in just knowing that someone is on the other side watching over us. I enjoyed your Father's day poem very much. -Bob |

Oh Maureen, this is beautiful. I think all caring parents look over their children, even after they are gone. |
