O my father, my heart does grieve for ‘neath the ground thee lie. And on this day of sadness leave I stand before and softly cry. For tears do well and fall before the foot that stands at thy still feet. And Now I wish ever and more that once again I’d feel complete. For in my chest O father mine A tightness wells and captures me. Keeping my wish in wait of thine to once again live memories. A question asked does hollow lie in wait of thee to speak again A simple breath of why, oh why was this our Lord’s waiting plan? And now dear father, O idol most strong I turn and walk, I bid adieu. My journey long becomes our song as roses red now bloom anew... I love you Dad, I cannot stop... nor shall I ever try... |
