They lifted a glass once a writer now a tramp once an actress then a vamp knew people on the top but it didn't change minds cause the words diffused and the acting stopped hearts they said it was over run out of work thrown out of home now in rags forever seduced shot of wine glasses divine run out for money didn't change their world they worked fine acted plenty clicked a glass or two those people on top hit bottoms too run for their lives out of broken homes drank from empty vessels broken glasses.
