4297 Metaphoric Blood 12 September 2005 When veins are cut and blood does run Away in a darkness thoughts to be not liked by some While in metaphor a life line severed to suit That commitment of a failure to reboot Not to death yet to live Not with her he unable to give Wrists not slit neither to sadness become This element before a reunion to savour her in one “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1: 7 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
