4519 A Bigger Mousetrap 07 November 2005 Just because they go shopping for high heels Does not mean all of the world was their own to step forth Who was fair and whom did share for there were two ends to a length of string Where a reply to a conversation meant the course was to conserve Nevertheless it takes two to say “hello” one in forward motion and the other one back This was how it had always been and nothing would ever change that Just because shoes have laces or a thin ankle strap Being sexy and all was after all just a bigger mousetrap “The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.” Job 18: 10 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
