No longer *wrote this awhile ago, just didnt post it till now* No longer will the towers outline stick up tall against the horizon Never again will many a family be together Too many of innocents met their, Death, on that lazy morning Four of ours hit without warning planes meant for the pentagon, capitol and towers hit, strong and disguised we were, us all amazed enraged and surprised, The people in them gone not found, for them on empty graves lay flowers Many of the dead we have yet to find them Heartbreak hitting each family, as loved ones don’t come home this night again Firefighters police, heroes When asked to help, risk their lives, they didn’t stop didn’t say no One day after another our whole country held our breath hoping, hoping not everyone had ended in death that maybe our loved ones would be survivors when others died we hoped , that while many died our loved ones would survive. And to whom do we owe to what we feel ‘Bush his administrations who didn’t think the threats were real to the al Qaeda who attacked us first The one who built those buildings, unknowing to come this hurt? I think not, we really can only blame ourselves We were not ready for such a thing to in our future delve No one thought to wonder What happens really if terrorists hit that building yonder Are able and ready to cope Or are we not to scared to vote To protect our country keep it safe Although now it’s all to late 3,ooo people died in the attacks No longer do they walk the earth No longer here from birth for them I remember of the attacks that September. |
