I spend my nights at home, Try not to care that I'm all alone. Not easy to act like it's all ok, not simple to come up with all the right things to say. All the acting brings complications, Loneliness diminishes the familiarity of what once brought comfort. Keep telling myself I'll have better days, that the rain will come down and wash everything away. If I hide from others, I can hide from myself. Shielding my mind with shadows and broken glass, I realize that nothing ever really lasts. I give no hint of my introverted mind, as I make the stressful attempt to relax. Stuck in my own quiet solitude, I reflect on the life I've never let myself have. |

I actually think this is one of the better poems I've read on this exceptional site-at least for today-because it expressions the thoughts of the introverted few-of which I am one of.Good write SarBear. ^_^ Jill |
