The Two of Me When light is at the back of me My shadow comes alive and free A vie of gray or deeper dark And cling to me like skin or bark They pantomime my every act In short or long it is a fact And often peel a mental turn That brings my mind a churn of yearn They play the symbols of my thoughts A xylophone of memories warts Stirring them to whorls of rout Dipping quicksand’s pull of doubt They send a silent pulse aware A spirit in a phantoms care An optical illusions show Of something of my long ago It keeps me company most the bright And in my dreams by candle light |

Highly enjoyable work, as always, dear Seymour. To live in perfect harmony with our own shadow is the challenge. Love and hugs. Margherita |
