Sounds of Winter Sounds of winter in the air cranes flying south, who knows where crystal cold hanging in the clouds bits of frost blanket flowers like a shroud golden leaves flitting to the ground each one falling, but creates no sound soon the snows come in and fall drifting to make snowdrifts tall ice laden trees look like fairy land the quiet of cold, few understand big coats, big boots, mittens and hats without them death can come just like THAT winter's coming, this time I love I take the time to thank the Lord above for the blessing of this wondrous season perhaps to love it, one has lost all reason It is soon here and the wind tells me so I, for one, am happy to see hot summers go if you come to this frozen home in which I live all I have is a tiny bit of advice to give live it, love it, don't fight the ice and cold embrace it, face it ~ in time you will be sold to the beauty that I tell you of now and when spring comes you can take a bow for you lived through a time of snow and ice and you survived ~ can you do it twice? aziza |
