I don't find this to be tranquil, breezy or uplifting at all....but that's a compliment....I read your poem as a sad acceptance of a child's innocence seeking God - only to realize in adulthood that He isn't always so accesible - even in dreams. Powerful, poignant and so very sad - a reality for many of us.....I have faith in God, but also relate to the distance, the walls.
