5449 Words that Speak 03 June 2006 More than words can say yet all I have is words to give What was like, where did love live Could this be a place hope and sorry meet Therefore as to words this does greet Nothing more and nothing less where this voice was yet to speak Because within your eyes that soul remained but in spirit to peak Looking at you, but knowing this comes at but a price The kind of cake, taken and eaten a nibble by nibble, succulent in every slice For what was poetry, words and more What was like, where did love live More than words can say yet all I had was words to give “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
