HANDS To JK 8 January 2001 Huge fragmented in the early morning light force-feeding eagles and stroking flutter hearts of little buck and melancholy sonatas branded in my memory with hot, undying coals. - Owl |

Diana Such tenderness these hands that tend to helping, yet memory must be branded...why? because it's so important to remember these kinds of things. Lovely sentiment in this, my friend. |

Thanks, Martie. This was to a very special man who taught me almost all I know about trees and a lot I know about everything else. Our friends didn't believe that we often talked about trees when we were alone. - Owl |

Oh, those flutter hearts Diana. What a wonderful man he must be. You have made him real for me in just a few lines. Thank you. |

Sorry Bob, and Kate, I didn't see your replies in February and March respectively. I don't know how I missed them. Thank you, Bob. Yes, I agree with you. Thank you, Kate. Yes, he was a wonderful man, and I know he must still be. What a fool I was to turn away from him. And what a pity that he never forgave me. I am highly honoured that such a perfect portrait-painter as you, say that I made him real in a few lines. Being the animal-lover that you are, I knew you would love the flutter hearts. Thank you Aziza. I, too, find it calming to read this and remember. Thank you, Linda. They (such memories) do (warm my heart and hearth). Thank you, jo. I feel very honoured for a poet of your calibre to say that. Hugs to you, too. Thank you, Lee. At first I wondered what it made you feel hopeful for - but now I think I know because I noticed on re-reading my poem, that it makes me feel hopeful too, so presumably that it in the same way. It is good, I think, to feel sensitive, no matter whether it is with pain or joy. Yes, it is most definitely a lovely way to walk. Thank you for enjoying my poem with me. - Owl |

Thank you Nancy. I only got the notification of your response this morning. That is why my last response didn't include a reply to you. Your response still isn't visible to me, but I could find it on the Print version. Thank you for your kind comment. I am glad you enjoyed it. Hugs - Owl |
