Sitting here a bit relieved, the heat subsiding allowing the mind to dwell on other matters, those that do. I've led a good life, loved once, satisfied that maybe that is all life has to offer. I can create a mindful world, one of fantasy, starry nights and pillowed morns, velvet touches and second skins to crawl into. I can feather dust the corners of my mind, allowing room for wishes and hopes and even view them at a distance, challenged by the lingering thoughts and believing... still. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

I can create a mindful world, one of fantasy, starry nights and pillowed morns, velvet touches and second skins to crawl into. your last paragraph, even though I didn't copy and paste seamed it all together so well...and I think these same thoughts many times over...especially the first paragraph... We love to the best of our ability, giving it our entire focus....what would life have been without love...doesn't matter if he didn't feel the same for you, or perhaps was not able to fulfill his or your expectations, what matters is, "you" know love very intimately...and perhaps that is the entirety of life's purpose... delightful read and composition Hugs to you and thank you for sharing. |

LeeJ, I was very lucky, in that for almost 30 years I had no expectations that weren't met, that my first true love remained my love for that long, whether he was satisfied or not was not known until the last year or so(or let's just say "he thought the grass greener elsewhere" leaving, then realizing too late his mistake) Anyway, starting over isn't easy for either of us and I will always wish that the "wonderful yesterdays" were today. Thank you Sue, I know you understand and I am so glad you are able to stand on your own and make it. I am still working on that. M Robert E, Thank you for stopping to read and respond, I appreciate it. Sy, wish he was/had been more like you... thanks Neeraja, Thank you for stopping to respond. M |
