5446 All Good Revisited 02 June 2006 Sometimes to wonder which way the world was shining As to her, of directives in personal thought her happiness permitted upon a being Where incarceration was her motive but what was hidden in dark Some element of marriage left over like a completed meal Scraps of food and savoury sauce bread crumbs upon a earthenware platter There she was, placing the blame her inside sanitised in alcohol, preserved Would she ever give up endearing an era in path No one knew but her what this was to be in truth “Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.” Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882) USA essayist and poet © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |

4520 Stillness of Beat 08 November 2005 Sadness was a broken heart as to the empty feeling of one To give - yet not get - perhaps in a less selfish way was more to come This element of desire to share while friendship rewards desire But what of destination - true reality and the breath of whispering fire Pain being anger in ways expressed total toward reflected thought to give For what was adversity to those who pretend away from the limelight of life to live Sadness will never mean - happiness was a feeling of warmth inside To gift without need of helping out but where was time in reply in venture died “And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded;” Exodus 35: 10 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
