 Lilacs In Bloom ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ Riotous glory in springtime blooming, Sweet perfumed air at end of May. Violet hues in crowns of glory, Shimmering in warm sun of day. Flooding memories of grandma's garden, Fragrant lilacs of every hue. Pinks and whites and pale yellows, And royal purples all on revue. Karilea ~ Yes, Dear Sun! A lilac-laden breeze refreshes one's soul. You may not see their glorious blooms, yet you know when they are near. I love them so much that I wear them in my hair, wear lilac perfume, wear lilac/mauve/purple clothes... lol I have even been affectionately referred to as walking lilac bush! Oh Linda, this is soooooooo gorgeous, sweet friend, we've had all kinds of flowers blooming here lately, including lyrical lanes of lilacs, and the inhaling of their beauty alone always makes me feel like skipping down the streets rather than walking and whistle in trance, yay! lilacs...one of my favorites! They always remind me of my grandmother also. She is long gone but her warmth and security are delivered to me thru the scent of lilacs. Nicely done, thanks for sharing! picturegramic :) |

I've only seen purple and white lilacs, and purple are my favorite. Of course, nothing beats their scent! Loved this!  ~sky I hope someday you get the chance to live like you were dying.... |

Hi, sky! Lilacs come in so many heavenly shades! My grandma prided herself in having every shade known to man ~ and to the angels. ~ lavender, violet, lilac, mauve, purples, magenta, plum, white, royal purple, pale yellow, pinks and blues ... a feast for the eyes, nose, ~ and the spirit!
