When you spend so much time, Focusing on one thing, That you can’t have. Your vision become like a narrow tunnel. You can only see in one direction, Letting nothing else in. You become wrapped in your own world, Buried in a hole, You miss what’s happing around you. Your are so focused on it, You forget why you can’t have it, You live on that one moment, When you were so close To having it. As time goes by, You kid yourself, Tell yourself, You don’t want it, You don’t need it anymore. Til that day comes, When you see it once again, It makes you want it even more, Your tunnel becomes more and more smaller, You let in less and less light, The walls gets thicker and thicker. Then that day comes, Where you can have it, What do you do? Do you put out your hand, And grab it? Now you can have it, Do you even want it anymore? Maybe you had just grown to like the idea, Of not being able to have it? |
