he kept saying “the sea brings me warm coffee, where sighs rise to keep close your feelings” his shoulders were huge, but frozen silent…
i reddened, at his words standing motionless in some time, floating across my mind…
it was nice to hear him pacing back & forth... on the other side of the wall… where he lives, years away, from my world
i can hear the sputtering of his words sinking
sinking
limply into feet that tippy toed away where he waits, for time to grow…
on tides that search for appropriate membership in the pockets of longing things which seem to me like a penal system
that turns you backwards into fictional voiceovers
lifting forbes to blue veins of society were months are busy directing work he completed years ago where creatures become the stuff of mountain whispers & natural barriers
savage fires embroidered a wedding dress in his thoughts from an honest man’s life, he finds surprise along the way
where winter slams doors in the chest of infatuation cumbersome bursts of pride with the idea of fantasy in his mind living life to the fullest
as if a 2007 xk jaguar with broadband connection, becomes an option for romance?
…it seems unbearable… those muffled cries of church bells in his thoughts of standards
of cheerful flames…
and that story line of unstained love
that allows you to live each moment as it happens…
he hopes i escape the miles yet purchases an interest in my 24 year old mind
free of charge…
vanishing an infinite poet’s fancy that prepares for nothing and is never on time
swinging like a chimpanzee on a fruit tree never expecting much
i can taste his open stairway, with a vice-like grip under a silken coverlet where my lips slightly open by the smiles of his dreams
i like his fairytaleish plot
he doesn’t hear my pillow cry to some utterly powerful call or the wanton of freewill
…that eventually, I won’t be able to resist
while bending over and depositing a sleepy kiss he smiles a thoughtful gaze that stands alone, in my reflection like a black servant’s dress
and i wonder if manhood realizes companionship making last minute arrangements streaked with a lock box of psychic previsions that will not surface untill it’s to late
today is one of the best sleepless nights i’ve had
perhaps i’m good enough to publish? with a little background color
can I identify with someone else’s novel?
from the companion who read me from start to finish… smiled and still can't put the book down?
“Odd” I think, “I’ve traded my previous room mate..."fear" for a romantic heart” the one I wouldn’t allow to taste gypsy spices for so long
not so morbid or depressing to loose a little sleep
over thoughts of loosing autonomy???
fair trade for love don’t you think?

There are several on here who's names come to mind when I think of the term "poet". Their name arises in my thoughts...not just as an example, but almost as a definition. LeeJ is such a name. You amaze me. Thrill me. Chill me. Take me. Send me. I'm putty.

Thank you, LeeJ, for another wonderful journey and it's okay to get a bit lost because it's always better the second time around. So many images and good lines - incredible!
