This poem was originall Great Vagrants, I posted it here when I wrote it weeks ago but with the help of some friends I've gone through it time and time again and I came up with this poem: In repose, under a grove, Taking note of the ethereal qualities The nearby forest secreted lavishly Sending my mind, on a climb, to the loftiest peak. Enlightenment I'll find listening to the breeze. Alas, the Astral climb belabors my mind. I just can’t find, my hidden shrine My thoughts; now descending from the mystic mountains of heavenly planes. My body; now waiting for its mind to return again. Rendering pictures coalescing into an ancient being. Inside my confused head, an aged asian voice echoed, distant and fragmented: whispering in the wind: Impermanent... all isss... Strive onnn… Awarenessss… Not quite comprehending his ancient message But feeling closer in my quest; I shook off those ancestral greetings, yearning for the company of grounded beings Wondering the time: knowing, when I saw the sky, just before nine, the heart of twilight June, midsummer's eve, the Sun drawing my eyes, paralyzed, to the sky, feeling so alive while bursting to cry. Clearing my head, I ventured into the woods. Sprites laugh in distant greenery. Palpable greens, with thick soothing air, for my lungs to breathe. Again, I began to stare, until I was found by a flock of great vagrants quite profound in their manner and character. They spoke words worth more than I had ever dreamed and said they could find a hallowed shrine for me. I chose to accompany that jocund company on my uncanny journeys through these misty trees. "Thou that walkest this forgotten forest with me tonight. Are ye in search of something divine?" queried one Will to me, my reply, "What do you mean?" Smiles beamed all around when we came to a ridge the other Will said "If only ye hath gazed on Westminster Bridge. Behold yon silver moon, lucid and cool, empowering and full. Solemn thoughts do stir?" I nodded pensively. "So thine prelude begins." Their retort was to vanish leaving me lost and feeling slightly.. Romantic? Taking pause by a tree, already home to a Skylark. Not wanting him to leave. Should I embark? He turned to me and our eyes did meet Gazing down at my feet, I saw creatures gather and greet to hark to the tune the lark would soon sing and to finally swoon, 'O, the night's ending.' Looking up at the Heavens above thinking of those worthy words when I found the shrine inside my head and slept 'til dawn to roam again! Quite a trek you have written here...much work had to have gone into it. |

Very nice, I liked it. Different from what I usually read, in both structure, and flow. No lines that really stick out as being out of place, and great imagery. Good job. |
