Death to you, might not be what to me. An anonymous deal, with no apparent appeal. To dainty and vainity hubbers of this earthly varsity. Death to you, might not be what to me. It doesn't weigh a feather on any scale. It makes pale out of caramel gals. Death to you, might not be what to me. A dark starking beauty. She brings penalties for blasphemies, done without view of eternity. Death to you, might not be what to me. Would I be breathing? Would I deem? Or all senses brought into obscurity? Death to you, might not be what to me. Should I fear? Do I even feel? A perennial riddle, Far from revelry. |

FNG "a dark starking beauty" I have learned the beauty of so many things....caught in the tangle of life...even death. Enjoyed this poem. |

"A dark starking beauty. She brings penalties for blasphemies, done without view of eternity." My favorite lines. Well done Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. |

A well written piece on a puzzliing question with an inviting title. Yes, we ponder one's meaning of death, but can't it be seen in their regard for life? Thanks for your kind repy to my "Poetry's Saving Grace." Rae |
