When It Rains When it rains, The dust of reckless hours melts away Putting wings to rest, and honor bound to sway Turmoil washes off the edges as a moment passes Clinging to the fringe of buttercups and lashes Soaking in, the images of sand suckling sea The starting over of another destiny Clear, pours the outlook of proportionate means Pure the intention from dissention it deems When it rains, Subsided fevers sleep on quiet through night Every living thing enchanted shifts all right When everything in misty glaze is said I lift the window high, and softly rest my head Copyright Kkh 8/28/06 |

I love the rain. When it rains I can just sit and watch it for hours. This reminded me of why I love rain so. |

I REALLY like the way this reminds me of the relaxing, refreshing and renewing qualities of something I'd taken for granted for so long now, and suddenly realize that I was dangerously close to forgetting. But I really LOVE the astonishing imagery you captured with: "Clinging to the fringe of buttercups and lashes" ...simply beautiful. Thanks, G When we are unable to find tranquility within ourselves, it is useless to seek it elsewhere. |

Lovely write, Kathleen. Yes, the rejuvenating properties of rain that we most times don't appreciate. |

and when it rains, it sometimes pours... Nothing beats a slumber in the morn as the rain dances on the window's sill. |
