5637 So Much to Vanity 22 August 2006 Was the end the beginning that silence embraced to the wind The shadow a shade, the morrow near unto those to give, severed as to live Just days away from departure if this God who exists, does not step in As if August was the month of endeavour a placement of start to end Surviving death, yet on a diet of stress one final inhale, gasping for breath So was this vanity or delight to know serenity was of her Sanitation or Salvation sanity to the insane The fear of departure wanting to stay and so much in need of love “Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity. Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.” Ecclesiastes 2: 15, 17 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |

"Pride goeth before the fall". This stanza was especially moving to me: ~ "Just days away from departure if this God who exists, does not step in As if August was the month of endeavour a placement of start to end" God bless this soul ~ and yours. God's Loving Light, EA |
