Hours walk a lonely trek, in wait of that
which a messenger brings...the darkened
cloak hanging loosely upon a shadowed
face.

The time is nigh, a whisper says, the miles
have come and are now gone.  The walk
once stepped now over....you lie quietly
in wait.

A wish is left upon the bed, in hopes that
all might know....that even though he comes
and treads....we know that you must go.

So, take the dawn and feel the light, let
no one stand in thy way, for you gave but
a gallant fight..and...though you leave...

A memory will stay....

This deserves to go back to the top!
Well done

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Beautiful!  We can help our loved ones live on by propelling their good and remembering the beauty they brought into life.  You said it perfectly!

So painfully beautiful. This is one of two works I have read here that simply rock me to the bone.

You are writing on my heart with this one Magnus.  I wait for vision clearing...

and if I knew how to leave a peace rose for you here, I would.

Helping out a Klassy Lassy...
because I would have done

Excellent work, Barry.

Oh! Sunshine...you know when someone is looking through tears they often see rainbows?  Thank you.
