I cannot decide
Is it love?
Or is it lust?

All I know
Is I wake with him in my head
And my heart
An ache
As erudite
As a subterranean cavern
As dark as one too
For the images
That come to my mind
Are as esoteric
And erotic
As those found
In some tawdry emporium
Purchased for a quarter.
Mind numbing.

I cannot decide
Is it love?
Or is it lust?

He melts me
His voice as cool
As the iced waters
Of some mountain stream.
And as hot,
As the lava
Pitched forth from a volcano
Erupting
From the depths of my soul.
Touching fibers
Of resilient want
And desire
Spinning me
Like soft wool
On some ancient wheel
He touches me so.

I cannot decide
Is it love?
Or is it lust?

And I want him
Thoughts
Words
Ideals
An all encompassing craving
That is never satiated
Only spurred on
From one level
Of rapture
To yet another
Peak after peak
Of wonder,
Leaving me to question

Is this love?
Or is this lust?

Sandra~
Ah ... the answer is really very simple~

When in doubt ... don't~
Or do~
Or flip a coin~
(In lust I trust)

I can't answer your question either but if it's love, real love, one would perhaps not have to ask.  Whatever it turns out to be, you have at least written a wonderful poem so ... Well Done!

Do you mean do you love him or does he love you...if you know how to love it can develop if you share time together...and both want it to grow to that level...
What is your definition of love...to me it is sharing and caring and acceptance and forgiving...James
