Steam emitted hiss.. breaks halted clamor ceases late arrival again on the tracks late comer mysterious tutor of past misery recent finery to Edwardian throats glint of handle light door release steps appear as baggage did with exotic stamps brim covers eye late arrival descends walks this way ode to station encounters glint of eye sweet handshake introduction ensues "I am the new tutor, Mr...." pleasure Miss... Miss Graves pleasure, Miss Graves but just a query with a name like that how can entrust my children? "Not to worry Mr...." "Ransom, my handsome lady" "I am quite alive..Mr Ransom although my name speaks of dark days... I live in the present.." "I am sure you do, miss.." he recognized her carriage they strode down platforms in the past towards horseless cabs shadowed drivers.. He thought. "I am sure you do", but I need to know you won't be too harsh"... Harsh? as they mounted to sit "will you be holding me at ransom,Mr Ransom when my tone turns severe, issues become critical and consequences grave?" |

the key is to enjoy it yourself first, I find...here it was as if I had the words play in head first for double meanings before they got transcribed...then the poem becomes more a labor of love, instead of labor.. |
