Sorrow Sorrow flies without remorse Never seems to plan a course It lands on all that are to live With ne’er a word of please forgive It’s a feature seems a creature Often poses as a teacher Comes and goes a will o the wisp But its touch is hot and crisp Sorrow touches many a time In age and in your early prime It stays within our future flow It hovers o’er each place we go It is within our weave of gown It’s in the frown of every clown It is the movement of the dance The very nuance of advance Just look within the mirrors eye And tell me if you see a sigh? |
