5601 Heaven My Angel 11 August 2006 She was my angel as if gifted by God Her heart was a warming fire her happiness an important dawn This new day, a day of her heart another moment of her in thought Heaven gave me an angel I believe God made this so A heartbeat away from happiness yet thousands of miles of ocean to cross Caught within an azure sky down on my knees to pray Wanting, needing, hoping would she be there Could her touch ever be to feel Heaven, my angel Carolyn by name “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13: 2 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
