Two

It is the two that sums the one
In everything that is begun
Opposition is the key
Without it there is no we

It’s the living force of rhyme
Without it there is no time
There is the night, there is the day
It is that touch that makes the way

The ego lives on touch and go
It takes the two to make time flow
Without the wall no echoes bounce
There is no bounce without denounce

The trick is to adjust the gage
The turning of the future page
You set the needle on exist
Accept the factor of resist

Take your walk within the park
Be patient with the others bark

Oh, Mr poetry, sing a song for me
Just a little rhyme to make me dance in ecstasy

Loved this one

Elizabeth,
I found a tiny rhyme of flow
Within a bonny time ago
It bobs a cork within my mind
It’s always there for me to find

A favor that you laced my seam
A meeting that still seems a dream

Neeraja
Thank you for the sweet comment.

.. and here is where you reached out and grabbed me!

It takes the two to make time flow

Sy, you write so beautifully
it always flows so perfectly
and says so much

I'm tempted sometimes to
just pack up my pen after I read you
'cause I can't imagine ever being able
to write so loverly as you do

... but i figure my muse would just
pull it out and poke me in the eye or
something she's hateful like that
